COVID-19 Community Response Fund

United Way of West Central Connecticut has established the COVID-19 Community Response Fund to address the short- and long-term consequences of the pandemic. Utilizing our local network of nonprofit and government partners, the Fund will be used to rapidly deploy resources to help individuals and families affected by the pandemic.

UWWCC is collaborating with local municipal and philanthropic leaders to ensure that all funds raised best meet the needs in our community. As this pandemic continues to evolve, so too will community needs. This Fund will allow flexibility to address those needs.

We invite individuals and organizations to contribute to our relief fund or by check to UWWCC, 440 North Main Street, Suite D, Bristol, CT 06010. UWWCC will not charge administrative fees to this Fund.

United Ways across the state of Connecticut are also joining forces to respond to the increasingly dire economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, they have created the Connecticut United Ways COVID-19 Response Fund. Connecticut United Ways hope to mobilize a response quickly to get money to individuals who most need it to pay for food, utilities, and other basic necessities.

To donate to the Connecticut United Ways COVID-19 Response Fund go to www.CTUWCovid19ResponseFund.org. Donors will have the option to pay a 3.09% credit card processing fee so that 100% of their donation can go directly to those in need. Connecticut United Ways will not charge any administrative fees on donations to the Fund.

As of January 4, 2021, The United Way offices remains closed to the public with staff primarily working remotely.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, and per the recommendation of the Governor’s office, we will be working remotely until further notice.
