The Young Professionals for United Way is an initiative begun by the United Way of West Central Connecticut’s Board of Directors. Co-Chairing the group are a young staff member, Colleen Younghans, and a new Board member, Alan Aubin. The two realized that after high school and college, there is a shortage of volunteer opportunities for young professionals and wanted to bring together a group of people who could offer fundraising, volunteering, and networking opportunities to other people their age.

The United Way has put together an impressive group of young professionals, who work at local businesses such as ESPN, Webster Bank, Citibank, Riverside Investment Services, and many local schools. These individuals range from 23 to 35 years-old and are all interested in giving back to their community and making it a better place to live and work. If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming part of this group, please call Colleen at (860) 582-9559.
