United Way of West Central Connecticut's 2016 Annual Report has been released and is available on our website here:
The Bristol Task Force to End Family Homelessness is seeking volunteers to help keep people safe, warm and healthy during the frigid winter months.
Thanks to the generosity of many donors, all children have been "adopted" at this time! We are still accepting donations of backpacks, school supplies, and packages of new socks and underwear, which will be donated to area schools to help kids in need throughout the year.
School may be out for Summer, but we already have over 500 children in need of backpacks, school supplies and a first-day-of-school outfit for next year! Please be among those that help.
United Way believes that the first day of school is an important event in a child’s life. To help kids get the year off to a good start, we began the Adopt–A–Child Back to School Program in 1999, when we served 30 children. We have continued this program each year and it has grown dramatically, with over 700 children served last year alone.
